Release notes

What changed in each version of LynxOffice for Mac.

1.0.17 — First release

LynxOffice's first release on the Mac App Store.

  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF in one native Mac app, plus Markdown and images.
  • Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files open and save in their own format, with no import or conversion step.
  • Compare: two versions of a Word document as tracked changes, or two PDFs side by side.
  • Summaries and reply drafts from the on-device model on Macs with Apple Intelligence. The app calls no cloud model.
  • lynxoffice-mcp and the lynxoffice command, from KDAN's Homebrew tap, let Claude, Codex, and other AI tools work with your documents.

Tested with 3,187 automated tests and 37 UI tests, including rendering checks against real-world files.

macOS 13 Ventura or later. Universal binary for Apple silicon and Intel.
